About Us

Shallow Earth Technologies Inc. started as a geophysical equipment rental company in 2012 by three associates; Joseph Gouthro, James Golby and Lawrence Fraser. All three partners had previously worked extensively in the geophysics industry as technicians for several prominent geophysical consulting companies. Together, they realized the market potential and growing demand for a rental company to exist in western Canada that could provide reliable, well-maintained geophysical survey equipment. Based in Calgary, Shallow Earth Technologies has expanded to service geophysical companies across Canada.

Mark Bowman, a professional geophysicist with more than 30 years of geophysical consulting experience, recently joined Shallow Earth Technologies Inc. to allow our company to expand its capabilities and provide professional geophysical consulting services.

Based on the combined extensive experience of the partners, the services available through Shallow Earth Technologies includes geophysica data collection, data processing and interpretation, report writing, and project management.
